The Lions Eye Institute has registered with Containers for Change to help make a positive difference in our community.
Containers for Change launched in Western Australia and Queensland in early October 2020. In the first 100 days of the scheme, more than 120 million containers were returned and over $500,000 donated to charities and community groups.
You can support our sight-saving research by collecting and returning eligible drink containers.
All you need to do is:
- Gather your drink containers
- Take to your nearest refund point
- Donate to the Lions Eye Institute using our scheme ID: C10301865.

Containers for Change supports the return of eligible drink containers in exchange for a 10-cent refund. This refund can then be donated to a charity such as the Lions Eye Institute.
The initiative aims to:
- Increase recycling efforts
- Reduce litter
- Create jobs
- Encourage individuals and organisations to positively impact the environment and support local communities.
