LEI History Book Chapter

To coincide with our 30th anniversary celebrations, a short history of the Lions Eye Institute has been released. The publication covers the early days of the save sight movement in Western Australia, Lions Club’s involvement – including the work of Dr Robert Linton – in setting up mobile glaucoma screening in the 1960s, the push to attract Professor Ian Constable to Perth and the eventual creation of the Lions Eye Institute in 1983.
