Oculoplastics

Oculoplastics surgery includes procedures that are performed around the orbit (eye socket), tear ducts and surrounding areas of the face. Surgery can treat conditions including tumours, blocked tear ducts and, hooded eyelids (blepharoplasty) and droopy eyelids (ptosis).

Oculoplastics surgery can both help to restore vision and improve the appearance of the eye area. For example, skin malignancies around the eye that require excision may also require reconstruction to ensure they do not return.

Our experienced oculoplastics specialists treat a wide range of conditions and have exceptional attention to detail and precision.

At the Lions Eye Institute, our clinicians are leaders in their fields. All sub-specialty trained, they provide our patients with the best possible care, using state-of-the-art equipment to help patients achieve a better quality of life.
