Referrals
Please ensure that your referral is current so that you are able to claim maximum specialists benefits from Medicare.
Your First Visit
On your first visit to the Elsie Gadd Eye Centre you will be asked to fill in a patient information form including details of your Medicare and private health insurance. Please bring your Medicare, Veteran Affairs and Private Insurance cards with you.
Fees
Fees are variable depending on the treatment and tests that are performed and also on which doctor you are treated by. Your doctor will be able to give you more information concerning the fees that will be charged.
Accounts
An account will be issued on your visit or posted to you at a later date.
Payment
All consultations and some tests can be claimed through Medicare. It is the patients responsibility to claim this. Veteran Affairs Goldcards are accepted. Payment can be made by cash or cheque and depending on the Doctor, Bankcard, Mastercard and Visa may be used. If you requre further clarification please call your ophthalmologist's secretary direct.
Hours of Operation
The Lions Eye Institute operates from 8:00am until 6:00pm. However each doctor's time in the clinic varies, so for further information please contact the Lions Eye Institute on 61 8 9381 0888.
