2023 Visionaries Luncheon

2023 Visionaries Luncheon

The Lions Eye Institute Special 40th Anniversary Visionaries Luncheon was held on Wednesday, 6 September 2023 to thank our valued visionaries and supporters.

Visionaries are people who believe the world is worth seeing and support our aspiration of better vision for all.

The 2023 Visionaries Luncheon was a great success. Our Managing Director Professor Bill Morgan provided an overview of our scientific achievements over the past 40 years. This was followed by captivating presentations by Professor David Mackey AO on “What families, twins and populations have taught us about optic nerve disease, glaucoma and myopia,” followed by Dr Jessica Mountford on “Breaking new ground in myopia research: how zebrafish can help uncover the origins of childhood myopia.”

To allow you to prioritise your viewing, we have included a link to the full luncheon video and two shorter versions split by individual speakers. Please enjoy them at your leisure. Thank you so much for your continued support of the Lions Eye Institute.
