Will Bargmann joined the Lions Eye Institute in May 2023 as its general counsel and company secretary. Will has been a general counsel and company secretary in Australia in both the private sector and government-owned corporation sector for over 20 years. He also has extensive risk management and internal audit experience. Will has joined the Lions Eye Institute to help strengthen its focus on governance and risk.
Will has his law and undergraduate degrees from the United States and has previously practised law in the US and England. He speaks fluent German.
Outside of work, Will is a keen tennis player with a shaky second serve. He is also the president of his local tennis club. He and his wife have three adult children, two of whom live in the United States.
