Dr Danuta Sampson inducted
into WA Women’s Hall of Fame

The Lions Eye Institute is proud to share that Dr Danuta Sampson, senior researcher at the Lions Eye Institute, is a 2026 inductee to the WA Women’s Hall of Fame.

The induction occurred at a special ceremony hosted in the Government House Ballroom on 5 March 2026.

Dr Sampson was recognised under the Health category, which celebrates women who have dedicated themselves to improving the physical and mental health and well-being of others. She was inducted alongside 15 other inspiring women across the fields of Arts, Business, Community, Culture, Education, Health, Sport, and STEM and Technical Trades, as well as four women included on the Roll of Honour.

The WA Women’s Hall of Fame was established in 2011 to recognise and celebrate the achievements of Western Australian women past, present and future. Inductees are chosen based on their track record of breaking barriers, strengthening communities, advancing knowledge, and inspiring future generations.
