The Lions Eye Institute’s Murdoch clinic will continue servicing Perth’s southern metropolitan suburbs after securing a new lease. Building on our strong relationship with St John of God Health Care, the Lions Eye Institute in Murdoch has recently renewed its lease with St John of God Murdoch Hospital.
We first opened our Murdoch clinic in 2005 due to the growing demand for ophthalmology services south of the river. In 2019 the clinic moved into new premises in Murdoch Medical Centre.
Today the Lions Eye Institute Murdoch team is a thriving and growing clinic, with all ophthalmic sub-specialties available under the one roof.
The Lions Eye Institute’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr Glen Power, said, “With this new lease we are excited to deliver the next chapter of better eye health to residents in the south metropolitan area of Perth and adjacent regional areas.”
A personalised approach
Quite a few of our Murdoch clinic patients have been coming to the clinic for many years and have built strong relationships with the team. Kanishka, our Murdoch clinic manager said, “I love the work I do because it gives me joy to look after a great team of doctors and staff and I enjoy interacting with our patients. It’s rewarding to created opportunities that improve outcomes for our patients and I fell being a clinic manager allows me to do that.”
Kanishka works alongside a friendly team of six ophthalmologists, an ophthalmic assistant, an optometrist, registered nurses, receptionists and a surgery bookings superstar. Together, the team always strives to provide high quality personalised service and put people at ease.
