Resident Medical Officer Role
Lions Outback Vision offer a unique 12 month Resident Medical Officer role commencing in January each year.
Lions Outback Vision (based at the Lions Eye Institute in Perth) has provided oversight and coordination of outreach eye health services in Western Australia for 8 years.
The RMO role provides clinical support for the Lions Outback Vision Van and activities conducted at Lions eye Institute, Regional Clinics and Perth Metropolitan clinics, such as Derbarl Yerrigan.
The role also supports coordination of services, liaison with patients transferred to urban areas, telephone support, and research as directed by the Director of Lions Outback Vision.
This role requires considerable travel to Country Hospitals in regional areas of Western Australia and on the Lions Outback Vision Van.

Candidates are required to have completed their MBBS, and have completed their medical internship ( minimum of two years post-graduation to be considered).
