- Lions InReach Vision – a service offering hope to new Australians. Associate Professor Hessom Razavi is leading the charge to help refugees, asylum seekers and Indigenous Australians access eye care services in metropolitan Perth. There are often significant barriers for these vulnerable communities to access public ophthalmology services, including prolonged wait times, cultural, linguistic and geographical barriers.
- Associate Professor Holly Chinnery being appointed as the inaugural Ian Constable Research Fellow and her expertise in corneal immunology. Her research aims to understand how the corneal nervous and immunological systems interact in the context of homeostasis, inflammation, injury, and neurodegenerative diseases.
- A poem written by Jane Heydon, a Lions Eye Institute clinical trials participant with retinitis pigmentosa. Jane hopes to inspire others to keep going in the face of adversity and not let their condition stop them.

- The Lions Eye Institute Murdoch Clinic‘s new lease to continue servicing Perth’s south metropolitan suburbs with high quality ophthalmic care.
- Four different research projects being led by Lions Eye Institute researchers, Professor David Mackey AO, Dr Qiang Li, Professor Bill Morgan and Dr Samantha Sze-Yee Lee.
- Changes to the Lions Eye Institute’s Board and leadership team.
- Dates for upcoming events including the Telethon Family Festival and the 2025 Ian Constable Lecture.
